Show Summary

Betty Suarez has always had one goal in life: to make it into the publishing business. Despite being smart, hard-working, and productive, her dream has always been shadowed by the fact that she isn’t the best looking young woman. However, she is now determined to do whatever it takes to fulfill that ultimate dream.

The sexy new man-about-town himself, Grant Bowler, told us that things are about to get “very sparky” and “very hot,” so keep your flammables away from the screen. The minor glitch: He is a taken man. Sarah Lafleur (ESPN’s Playmakers) has booked a recurring role as Molly, a kindergarten teacher and fiancée to Lost’s freighter captain Meade Pubs’ new CFO, Connor (Grant Bowler). My Betty snitch whispers that Daniel will start to fall for Molly, setting the stage for another tension-filled triangle at Mode. (Ausiello Files)

I’m relieved to report that tomorrow’s season premiere, and next week’s second episode, are home runs. My favorite moments: Betty’s initial run-in with new love interest Val Emmich (click here for America Ferrera’s take on Betty’s new beau); Amanda and Marc’s reaction upon meeting Eddie Cibrian for the first time; every word that comes out of Ana Ortiz’s comically blessed mouth; and the look on Betty’s face as she attempts to inject Botox into Wilhelmina’s face. I should also point out that by the end of the next week’s eppy, the fate of a pivotal character hangs in the balance. (AusielloFiles)

I hear Freddy Rodriguez won’t be returning this season in any significant capacity. And defecting to Team Henry isn’t an option either. As previously reported, Harper’s Island-bound Christopher Gorham has parted ways with Betty as well. (Ausiello)

(On Rebecca Romihn-Stamos role on Ugly Betty this season) A bigger one than first thought. Initial buzz had her only returning for one or two episodes. But now I’m hearing she’ll be back for at least four. (Ausiello)
