Show Summary

Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki as Dean and Sam Winchester, two brothers who travel the country looking for their missing father and battling evil spirits along the way.

Sam Winchester is a college student bound for law school, determined to escape his family’s past - unlike his older brother, Dean. Ever since they were little their father has been consumed with an obsession to find the evil forces that murdered his beloved wife, and recruited his two young sons to help them. They have grown up as hunters of the supernatural. Sam escaped this way of life after high school, and now has a happy life with his girlfriend, Jessica, and a promising future career. Dean, however, stayed behind with his father to join him in his “hunting”.

After Dean arrives for Sam’s help when their father goes missing, Sam must join his brother to find him. His one weekend trip to search for the missing John Winchester becomes an ongoing quest after a horrible tragedy ruins any thought of a happy life for Sam. (Source: Tv.com)

4.01 - Lazarus Rising - Sept 18
The title of Supernatural’s season-four premiere is “Lazarus Rising,” and according to my bible, Lazarus is that guy Jesus raised from the dead. Methinks this one’s about Dean coming back from hell. (Kristin, EOnline)

4.02 - Monster Movie

New: I’ll give you some scoop and save you a call to your TV repairman: The show is staging an entirely B&W episode this fall. “It’s an homage to the horror films of the ’30s,” says series creator Eric Kripke. “The boys are up against Dracula, the Wolfman and the Mummy. Supernatural’s creator Eric Kripke: “We have a firm belief in the cosmology of this show that evil, in terms of demons, etc, is very tangible and real and out there. Angels and supernatural forces of good are much more elusive. But in my opinion and the opinion of the writers, if God is out there, he isn’t sending angels to fight the battles; he’s working through a very human, sweaty, outgunned and overwhelmed group of hunters. For us, these are the angels. I think the point that’s very important to us to make is that the forces of good work through humans who are flawed and imperfect and trying to make the right decisions.
