Lost Spoilers
Show Summary
From J.J. Abrams, the creator of Alias, and Damon Lindelof (Crossing Jordan) comes an action-packed adventure that will bring out the very best and the very worst in the people who are lost.
Out of the blackness, the first thing Jack (Matthew Fox, Party of Five) senses is pain. Then burning sun. A Bamboo forest. Smoke. Screams. With a rush comes the horrible awareness that the plane he was on tore apart in mid-air and crashed on a Pacific island. From there it’s a blur, as his doctor’s instinct kicks in: people need his help. (Source: Tv.com)

Season Spoilers
Grab your season 6 scorecards and in the box next to episode 3 write, “Kate-centric.” (Ausiello)
The title of 6.04 (rumored to be Locke-centric) is “The Substitute.” Doc Jensen said that this means: “Well, a substitute is a replacement for something or someone that should be there, but isn’t. Apply that to the Lost story, which left us with a burning question: Did the castaways’ actions in the past — and specifically, Juliet’s detonation of the H-bomb Jughead — change all of Lost history? Maybe season 6 will reveal that the answer is… ‘Kinda.’ Perhaps the history remains largely intact, but with some notable deviations. Perhaps ‘The Substitute,’ then, refers to someone playing the part or fulfilling the role of someone or something that is now missing from the new, rebooted timeline. For example: Walt. Maybe in the new timeline, the castaways still all get on Oceanic 815 and crash on The Island… but among the deviations will be another ’special kid’ with a problematic relationship with his or her parent, taking the place of Walt. Hence, he or she would be the substitute for Walt. But I am also reminded of the intrigue around John Locke at the end of the season. Ben had killed him, and some Island entity took his place in the Island drama, using Locke’s role as a Trojan horse to get close to Jacob. If this ‘entity’ = Locke’s ’substitute,’ maybe episode 4 will reveal more about this shape-shifter.”
If it holds up that this season’s third and fourth episodes are Kate and Locke-focused respectively, doesn’t that follow the same sequence as the first season? (Ausiello)
Original cast member Harold Perrineau is willing, but not booked, to return to Lost for an appearance in season six. (KristinEonline)
Sources close to ABC’s Lost tell me that although most of the original cast will be seen in some capacity for the show’s upcoming season, one former Lost castmember has turned down an offer to return to the series. According to my moles, offers went out to the original castmembers several weeks ago, and this particular Lost star decided to decline. I can tell you that it’s not the hot Damonic bloodsucker also known as Ian Somerhalder, whom we caught up with recently while he was in Hawaii filming for Lost. “Maybe, just maybe we’ll get to see a more-relaxed Boone,” he teased to us. “Maybe we’ll get to see a Boone who’s just happy.” (KristinEonline)
Marc Cherry has confirmed that a plane is going to come crashing down on Desperate Housewives’ Wisteria Lane this season, for the show’s midseason cliffhanger. And now ABC sources are spilling this cool little nugget of info: The plane might end up being none other than one from Lost’s Oceanic Airlines. The plane’s Oceanic branding would just be a fun little Easter egg for Lost fans to find. And while the crossover has yet to be finalized, I’m told the higher-ups at ABC are keen on the idea. (KristinEonline)
I hear Team Darlton will give us the answer to one of Lost’s oldest and most confounding mysteries. And I’m pretty sure it’s an answer none of us expected to get. In the same episode, The Wire’s Frankie Faison will appear as Bailey’s father, Bill. (Ausiello)
Despite reports that Lost’s hottest bikini wearer ever Maggie Grace is coming back to the ABC cult fave, I am now told exclusively that Maggie has not yet signed on to return for the final season. A rep for the actress tells me: “It has not been confirmed that [Maggie] is returning [to Lost]. She has been asked, but nothing more than that.” (KristinEonline)
A source tells me that Robert John Burke (the senior Basshole) will be returning to the show in December, just in time to make it a very special Gossip Girl Christmas. P.S. When I hinted that “two blondes will be atwitter” I was referring to Lily Rhodes van der Woodsen Bass Humphrey and Gossip Girl herself (Kristen Bell), who will certainly Twitter the news!—but of course Serena also would count. Whaddya think of that twist? (KristinEonline)
Damon Lindelof says – Our focus remains where it’s always been: on the characters. And there are significant and emotional bonds, from both the friendship and the romantic angle, that we would be remiss in not exploring; we probably won’t be exploring them in the way that you think. (KristinEonline)
Are we going to get an answer on the numbers this season? – So all we can do is basically tell the story that we want to tell and answer the questions that are relevant to that story and hope that the audience leaves with some degree of satisfaction. But Lost wouldn’t be Lost if there wasn’t an ongoing debate as to whether or not questions were answered satisfyingly or not. (KristinEonline)
Despite reports that Lost’s hottest bikini wearer ever Maggie Grace is coming back to the ABC cult fave, I am now told exclusively that Maggie has not yet signed on to return for the final season. (KristinEonline)
Actress-turned-erotic exercise pioneer Sheila Kelley has found a plum role on the final season of Lost, sources confirm to me exclusively. She will play the recurring role of Kendall, an intellectual beauty with a sharp edge to her wit who is caught committing corporate espionage and has to lie her way out. (Ausiello)
ABC just confirmed that Lost will kick off its sixth and final season with a two-hour premiere on Tuesday, Feb. 2 from 9-11 pm. The requisite recap special will start things off at 8 pm. The following week, Lost will settle into its regular Tuesday-9 pm perch. (Ausiello)
These show’s cast will receive full-time, series-regular billing in season 6 – Naveen Andrews (Sayid), Nestor Carbonell (Richard), Emilie de Ravin (Claire), Michael Emerson (Ben), Jeff Fahey (Frank) Matthew Fox (Jack), Jorge Garcia (Hurley), Josh Holloway (Sawyer), Daniel Dae Kim (Jin), Yunjin Kim (Sun), Ken Leung (Miles), Evangeline Lilly (Kate), Terry O’Quinn (Locke), and Zuleikha Robinson (Ilana). Guest-stars confirmed to return are Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet), Ian Somerhalder (Boone), Rebecca Mader (Charlotte), Dominic Monaghan (Charlie), Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond), and Katey Sagal (Helen). (Ausiello)
I know Team Darlton referred to “killing off” Juliet in their latest interview with People, but you’ve probably figured out by now that we’ll see her alive somehow, which my source confirms. Hence, her guest spots in a few episodes on the sixth season. (KristinEonline)
On Sawyer’s love life – Lost boss Lindelof says, “We’ve got a little Heathcliff (from Wuthering Heights) action going on.” (KristinEonline)
So what can we expect to learn from the sixth and final season of Lost? Lindelof shared a sneak preview: “The questions that count will be answered, and the questions that the fans don’t want answered won’t be answered, but I think what they’re looking for is a real sense of resolution, particularly on a character level. Who’s going to live, who’s going to die, who’s going to hook up with who, why were they all brought here in the first place, was it arbitrary, is there meaning behind it? That’s the kind of stuff [we] have to answer, or [we] should be prepared to get rocks thrown at [us].” (KristinEonline)
Sheila Kelley sets the record straight that she is not playing Kendall (an “intellectual beauty who commits corporate espionage”), despite reports to the contrary. She does know is she is scheduled for at least four of the 13 episodes of Lost’s final season, which premieres February 2. (KristinEonline)
I can assure you that the first episode is nothing short of amazing, and you best have your DVR hooked up because you’ll want to watch it at least twice. No, make that 18 times. The sixth-season premiere will present us with two seemingly incompatible storylines: One in which we find out someone we thought was dead is actually alive (a certain very pretty someone) in the same time that we last saw him or her, and the other in which we will see Flight 815 again (which I’m pretty sure all of you have heard about by now). It’s a head-scratcher, for sure. But an awesome head-scratcher, nonetheless. And these two storylines will go on for a little while (in different decades) from what I hear. (KristinEonline)
According to my source, “Rose and Jack (Matthew Fox) will be reunited, and this time it will feel so good!” (KristinEonline)
We already know that Rebecca Mader (Charlotte) is back on Lost in some capacity this season, but what’s the real deal behind her resurrection? “I can’t say,” she tells us with a grin. And just why not? “Because it’s really, really, really, really, really, really exciting and I don’t want to ruin it. It’s too good to say.” And on that note, this is the most revealing thing we were able to get out of her: “It’s going to blow people’s heads off.” Sounds like someone’s taking a page out of the Dexter handbook. OMG, does Trinity kill Charlotte?! (KristinEonline)
Lookie-loos over at ABC Studios in Burbank tell me Evangeline Lilly and Emilie were shooting a scene for Lost just this very morning. So does this mean Claire and Kate meet up again? And what’s this about a baby bump?! Here’s the scoop – Evangeline and Emilie were reshooting a scene for the season premiere episode of Lost, which will air Feb. 2. The scene was originally taped in Hawaii but had to be reshot, and because Evangeline, Emilie and director Jack Bender all happened to be in Los Angeles (the cast is on hiatus), they decided to shoot it at ABC Studios. According to a source on set, the scene involved a gun, a cab driver and a…wait for it, certain female actress sporting a baby bump. (KristinEonline)
Ever wonder how Mikhail lost his right eye? You’re about to find out! (Ausiello)
Sheila’s character, who is not named Kendall, BTW, interacts with more than one character (so her part is not just like a flashback role or something). As Kelly tells us, “[This role is] like a petal opening, and I’m getting this amazing pic of who she is and how she intertwines into the various storylines.” (KristinEonline)
Maggie Grace’s (Shannon) absence from the beginning of the new season will be explained by a significant change to Shannon and Boone’s (Ian Somerhalder) backstory. Sawyer (Josh Holloway) will smooch someone who is either Kate (Evangeline Lilly) or Juliet (Elizabeth Mitchell), and it will happen within the first four hours of the new season. (KristinEonline)
In the upcoming final season, starting Feb. 2, there’s a new baddie on Lost who will make Ben Linus look more like the wimpy Peanuts character with whom he shares a name. (KristinEonline)
Assuming the rumors are true that Lost’s sixth season will center around that fateful Oceanic Flight 815, which Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) was not on, does that mean we won’t see Des? Here’s what I can tell you… 1. According to sources, we will see Desmond again…, 2. …fairly early on in the season. 3. His first appearance will be with one of the Losties, and the scene/encounter is very surprising 4. You guys are going to love it! (KristinEonline)
According to my spies, the following statements are both true: 1. One Lostie we’ve known for a long time (a dark, handsome someone) will die within the first four hours in the first shocking death of the year. 2. Another Lostie we’ve known and loved since day one of season one will come thisclose to dying—at his own hands—but the good doctor (Matthew Fox’s Jack Shephard) will save him. (KristinEonline)
According to insiders, Miles (Ken Leung)—who, remember, gets messages from the dead and not full-on visions/visits à la Hurley (Jorge Garcia)—may carry a message from a dead character on Lost in the upcoming season. (KristinEonline)
According to my spies, three main characters will be apprehended by the authorities this season. (KristinEonline)
Lost’s big, bad new nemesis may finally have been revealed: President Obama. We know. We didn’t see that one coming, either! Our money was totally on that mysterious guy on the beach with Jacob or something. According to reports, the White House is mulling over two dates for the president’s State of the Union address: Wednesday, Jan. 26 or Wednesday, Feb. 2. Jan. 26 would preempt American Idol (which will only be in its audition phase at that point, but still, that show is bigger than God). And Feb. 2 would preempt, the highly anticipated two-hour premiere for Lost’s final season. (KristinEonline)
Locke/Terry is more important than ever in season six (and, yes, will serve up a jaw-dropper) and as boss Carlton Cuse told The Hollywood Reporter: “Jack and Locke have always been at the center of the show, that dilemma of faith vs. reason, and the conflict between those two characters has been there since the beginning. It’s very exciting to bring that relationship to its conclusion.” Terry has never been more commanding (nor terrifyingly awesome) than this season. (KristinEonline)
According to my sources (including Maggie’s rep), Maggie still has not shot anything new yet for Lost, and is not expected at the season premiere party in Hawaii later this month. As you’ve probably heard by now, we will see Ian Somerhalder (Boone) again on the new season, and as I mentioned in the first day of Lost-mas, Maggie’s absence will be explained by a change to Shannon’s backstory. It’s pretty surprising! (KristinEonline)
Josh Hollway and Evangeline Lilly are giving their thoughts on what might happen with Lost’s love triangle in the final season, and though it’s clearly all in good fun (these two are always a good time), some of you “shippers” might not like it! Evi playfully insists that 38 percent of fans are “Skaters” (Sawyer and Kate fans) and 62 percent of fans are Jaters (Jack and Kate fans). Evangeline and Josh also open up on their feelings about Lost coming to an end for good. (KristinEonline)
Lost executive producers Carlton Cuse says, In the latter half of the season, Harold Perrineau and Cynthia Watros be appearing. Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) is back for four episodes this season. The Helen episode with Katey Sagal comes up in the first third of the season. (KristinEonline)
Malcolm is very tricky because of the age thing, and it makes it very hard for him. We would love to have him back, but he has aged and looks older than his character. So that’s the problem with him, so we’re still trying to see if there’s a way to work that out. (KristinEonline)
Season vibe – The actors talk a lot about how they’ve reconnected with each other—there’s almost a nostalgic quality. I think the first season of any show, the actors get together, they bond, and then there’s a drift over time. But because the show has an end, the actors have a chance to sort of rebond, much like they did in the first season when they screened the episodes every Wednesday at each other. There’s a real sense that the connections between these characters is a huge part of the show. (KristinEonline)
Jorge Garcia at press tour, revealed that in this final season, “You will get more information about the big things in Lost.” Like, oh, what the heck those numbers really mean: Will we ever understand 4 8 15 16 23 42? (KristinEonline)
In other Lost news, the Hollywood Reporter confirms that Titus Welliver is reprising his role as the mysterious and presumably superevil “man in black” in the latter half of season six. (KristinEonline)
Lost heroine Cynthia Watros has found herself one hell of a plum role on House. Sources confirm to me exclusively that the Emmy-winning actress has been cast as Wilson’s first ex-wife (he’s had three) who comes back into his life as his new girlfriend. (Ausiello)
After you see the final 10 minutes of next week’s episode, it will become increasingly clear what the entire final season of Lost is leading up to. (KristinEonline)
A certain someone you thought was dead will be back, and how he or she returns, and what it means for the future of the other Losties on the island, will have your brain spinning. Someone else appears in Los Angeles next week that I did not know was returning at all, and it’s awesome. (KristinEonline)
Kate will have a tender moment with Jack, and she’ll also have a revealing moment with Sawyer, and there will definitely be some clear indication as to where the romantic storylines (or lack thereof) will be heading this season. (KristinEonline)
Claire and Sayid Will Have Something in Common. Something big. (KristinEonline)
Cynthia Watros, however, describes her onscreen reunion with Jorge Garcia as “so sweet and honest. And I think, hopefully, when people see our scenes that they’ll get that feeling, too. [Libby and Hurley] are so incredibly real with each other. I was really grateful that I got to play those scenes and Libby got to sort of express herself in ways that she hasn’t been able to.” (Ausiello)
What Is the Island? That very question will be answered in less time than you think–about halfway through the final season, according to my sources. And you know who’s going to help deliver the message! The fantastic, ever-young Mr. Richard Alpert (Nestor Carbonell) and of course, Jacob (Mark Pellegrino). It’s a scene from the past and it’s gonna be good. It’s described as a four-letter word. There’s your first clue! (KristinEonline)
Jorge Garcia tells me this: “I don’t think Hurley is going to be turn-able. Like I don’t think he can…turn dark. I mean, it’d be interesting if there was a flash of that.” Is it possible that the candidates cannot be turned? If so, what’s up with Sayid? (KristinEonline)
When Michael and Libby show up in the final season of Lost, amends will be made. “I did get to apologize,” Harold tells TVGuide.com. “Every time I did it, it was really emotional. There was something really nice about it. It’s not just apologizing to her, but to Hurley as well.” (KristinEonline)
Sources tell me that we will see Ian Somerhalder’s Boone again before Lost comes to an end, and given that we now know Maggie Grace’s Shannon also will return, we can only hope they share some screen time together again, right? (KristinEonline)
Samm Levine says, “Damon Lindelof is an old dear friend of mine, and for six years he would say, ‘I’m going to write you something cool on the show,’ and finally he did!” Just keep your eyes peeled because it’s a blink-and-you’ll miss it guest spot. “It’s a little itty-bitty cameo, one scene, and I don’t want to say what it is. I want to people to watch like hawks, ‘Ah! There it is!’ ” (KristinEonline)
Shannon’s coming back! E.W.’s Doc Jensen reports in this week’s issue that Maggie Grace is now set to return for a guest appearance in season six. In other cast return news, reps for Andrea Gabriel confirm that Sayid’s beloved Nadia is going to appear in season six as well. Gabriel first pops up again in the March 2 episode “Sundown,” and then she also appears in a second episode to be revealed later. Last but not least, sneak peeks for next week’s episode, “Lighthouse,” include a look at feral Claire and an alt-timeline family Shephard. (KristinEonline)
I asked Josh Holloway himself whether his character is ultimately good or evil in the end, and he tells me: “Sawyer is both. He is good and evil. He walked most of his life towards evil, but now he more comfortably walks towards good. But he can always cross the line. (KristinEonline)
Why Richard doesn’t age on Lost? The big reveal occurs in the March 23 Richard-centric episode.“I definitely had a number of theories about why he doesn’t age and I was dead wrong,” confesses Nestor Carbonell, who adds that the episode is unconventional in that “the ‘A’ story focuses on the origins of this character. There’s a little bit of stuff on the island, but not much. It [mostly] deals with the past.” (Ausiello)
Michelle Rodriguez is the latest ex-815er to book a return trip to Lost. Sources confirm to me exclusively that Rodriguez will reprise her role as late tailie Ana-Lucia in at least one of the show’s final episodes. Rodriguez joins a growing list of Lost alums guest-starring this season. Said list includes Maggie Grace, Harold Perrineau, Cynthia Watros, and Rebecca Mader. (Ausiello)
Benjamin Linus Can Be Redeemed: You will soon see that Redemption remains a very big theme for this series, and will continue to be so until the very end. We know the Losties aren’t dead because the producers have said so, so it’s not Purgatory, but still, from what I understand the island can redeem them somehow. (KristinEonline)
New: Is Richard Alpert Good or Evil? Nestor Carbonell tells me “I don’t know. I don’t wanna wreck it. It’s complicated.” Nestor also promises: “I will not lie to you, episode 9, you’re gonna get big reveals about the island. Episode 15, even more so.” Remember, Michael Emerson told us of episode 15: “It’s set in a time and place that you will never have seen on a network series before. When was the last time you saw a network drama episode that none of the series regulars were in the episode?” (KristinEonline)
Ian Somerhalder will be seen on Lost again? Yes, and see what he says about it in the video clip at top. He’s hoping to meet up with Maggie Grace, and wants a better ending for Boone. (KristinEonline)
What the Island Is: You’ll learn that word next week! Episode number nine is Richard Alpert’s (Nestor Carbonell) backstory and it is not to be missed. (KristinEonline)
Someone we have not yet met will have an important message for Hurley next week. (KristinEonline)
Fake Locke is going to tell Jin how he plans to get off the island, and it’s pretty juicy! (KristinEonline)
There is a “package” up ahead that might be the most butterfly-inducing reveal so far this season.(KristinEonline)
Rebecca Mader, who is the cat’s meow as far as we Lost fans here at E! are concerned, is in the house talking about her return to the series. She can’t say when, but it will be sometime soon. And let me tell you, her first episode back will seriously make you squeal! So what will she be doing? And is there any chance she’s the mother of Jack’s (Matthew Fox) son? Rebecca tells me exclusively: “I don’t think so.” Then she adds with a laugh, “He’s 14. Do I need a new face cream!?” That said, sources tell me that Rebecca may have a connection to one of the Lost guys on the show when she returns. (KristinEonline)
Nestor Carbonell (Richard): Without giving too much away, I can tell you that as soon as I read that script I was certainly wanting some resolution. And I think there will be some element of resolution for Richard. I can’t say whether or not he has a chance at Isabella, but I just read the season finale and there has been some resolution for my character in a great way. The writers, yet again, just knocked it out of the park with the series finale. You’ll see it as the season progresses, what they’ve come up with is pretty mind-blowing. I’m definitely very fulfilled not just about my character but with the whole show in general. It’s an incredible task and they blew me away with what they come up with. (KristinEonline)
That Four-Letter Word! After much vague and (sorry) probably annoying teasing on my part, you all finally learned the four-letter word that describes the island tonight: CORK! One O. No A’s. No E’s. And you better not whine. (KristinEonline)
So Now We Know What the Island Is: Or rather, what it does. It prevents all Evil (the Man in Black) from seeping out into the rest of the world, which would be a very bad thing. (KristinEonline)
More Four-Play: Just what you wanted (no?) a new four letter word that will be revealed in two weeks which is very important. If you want to play along, here goes: This word has no A’s, one E, and as of episode 11 it will be clear that this four-letter word is what this series is ultimately all about. It’s also the word that just might end up connecting the two worlds (the island and the Flash-Sideways Los Angeles) we’ve been seeing all season long. (KristinEonline)
There’s a reveal about Jin and Sun that will shock you. They are *o* *a*****!
We’ll see Daniel Dae Kim shirtless. (You’re welcome, Josh Holloway, who lobbied for that. And you’re welcome, world.)
Fake Locke reveals what they need to leave the island.
We learn that a female Lostie is “expendable.”
There will be a “package.” (KristinEonline)
This week’s amazing Richard Alpert (Richard Carbonell) episode, in which you learn the four-letter-word that is used to describe the island. Make sure you come back to this section for my Lost Redux tomorrow night, ’cause we will have much to discuss! (KristinEonline)
If you were a fan of “The Constant,” then you’re going to love next week’s heart-shaped episode. And if you weren’t, you won’t. It’s that simple. In other news, the Grim Reaper will soon be making his move. And I’m hearing words like “bloodbath” and “mass casualties” being thrown around. (Ausiello)
Speaking of destiny and fate and all that jazz, an unlikely romance will take shape in early May. (Ausiello)
Next week you will most certainly get your Henry Ian Cusick fix in what just might be my favorite episode of the season. It’s a deeply emotional episode that will make you smile–if you aren’t made of stone. It involves some surprising old friends coming back into the mix in the Sideways world. And someone seeing “the truth.” (KristinEonline)
Next week’s episode is Hurley-centric, and there will be some sadness. As you can tell from tonight’s promo, Hurley will be leading Jack to see what they are supposed to do. (KristinEonline)
The Two Worlds Must Be Coming Together…Right? After all, Desmond is getting his hands on the flight manifest with the mission of showing the other Flight 815 passengers what he saw: The life they are supposed to be living. See you in another life, brotha, indeed! (KristinEonline)
It seems the final episodes are intensely physical for many of the Lost stars. And while Dan says his hand is healing just fine, “There are some bumps and bruises along the way for everyone, I think.” The end of Lost is emotional behind the scenes as well. (KristinEonline)
Leave it to Lost to save Ben’s knottiest twist for last: Sources confirm to me exclusively that next month, the show’s enigmatic puppeteer will find himself mixed up in a most unlikely romance. (Ausiello)
Then again, as Lost speeds toward its May 23 series finale, it has started to seem as if Cupid is targeting just about everyone. Last week, there was Desmond-Penny’s swoon worthy follow-up to Season 4’s “The Constant,” and next week’s Hurley-centric outing features the return of Cynthia Watros as his ill-fated crush, Libby. Of course, with great love comes even greater heartbreak. I hear there’s an episode late in the season that will go down as one of the show’s deadliest ever. (Ausiello)
Someone died on last night’s Lost, and it was huge and shocking and fantastic…and just in case you haven’t caught up on the latest Hurley-centric, aka amazing episode, we’d hate to ruin it for you. In case you missed the memo, Zuleikha Robinson’s Ilana was offed on Tuesday’s Lost after suffering a terrible blow in what proved to be an explosive hour. (KristinEonline)
We May See Libby Again: “It’s great because it’s kind of an open ending the way the episode ended. And there’s word that Libby [Cynthia] will be back. It’ll be interesting to see how it closes the story.” (KristinEonline)
Desmond Is Definitely Special: “I like the way Desmond’s character has kind of become this almost magical being that kind of facilitates things and makes things happen,” Jorge told me. “It’s exciting, the idea now that we’re remembering the [Island]. And what does that mean and how that’s all gonna…what’s gonna happen?” (KristinEonline)
Death Is Coming: I hate to be the bearer of bad—no, make that gut-wrenching—news, but I would definitely keep the Kleenex box on standby for the next few episodes. I’m told that one of them is a game-changer, in which we will see some serious tragedy. As in, loss of life. As in, life that the fans truly, truly care about. I’m tearing up just thinking about it so…Get ready. (KristinEonline)
The gorgeous and hilarious Rebecca Mader stopped by the EW offices yesterday and told us two important things: She knows how it all ends and she loves to consume large amounts of alcohol. Bottom line: We need to get that flame-haired Brit sloshed! (Ausiello)
That heartbreak I keep teasing to you? It’s soon. And it’s multiple. Also, I think most of you will be very satisfied with the very end. I’m hearing sad tears now, happy tears later. So be strong and keep the faith, y’all. (KristinEonline)
The baby is fine.” Why, you may ask, did I outright sob when Jin said those four words to Sun in the hospital in the Sideways world? Because I have it on good authority that things are going to get very ugly for many of our favorite Losties in coming weeks, and I’m pushing for most, if not all of them to land in their lives in the Sideways world at the very end. Of course, in the case of Sun and Jin, that only works if their baby girl survived. And she did! (KristinEonline)
John Locke Is in Good Hands: Another plea for the outcome of the Sideways world? John Locke seems to be on his way to being able to walk there, too, and have Helen (Katey Segal) and eat their wedding cake, too. Jack, who is told “that’s why we called you in” when he arrived to the hospital, seems considerably more confident and qualified to perform a miracle…Especially now that he’s a man of faith! The Man in Black Is Tom Hanks! According to tonight’s promo, the Man in Black’s “soul had gone mad…living alone in the wilderness.” Are you to tell me that if he’d had a volleyball-head pal like Wilson in Castaway, all this evil could have been avoided? (KristinEonline)
On the May 23 series finale, Jorge Garcia had this to say to you fans: “If we satisfied everyone, it will be a shock. I was extremely satisfied when I read the finale. I cried reading it. There was moment in the finale that kinda touched me, and everyone in the room felt the air change and there were tears streaming down my face. I think it’ll make people cry.” (KristinEonline)
And Daniel Dae Kim (still made of awesome sauce) promised fans that there will be more to Jin and Sun. “That will be addressed in some way in the finale, and I’m curious to hear what the fans have to say about it afterward.” (KristinEonline)
And it was Michael Emerson who gave the best finale tease. When asked if he’d prefer Ben to end up in the Sideways world or Island world when the series ends, he mused: “Luckily, and I have to tell you I am so completely satisfied with how Ben ends up, we don’t have to make the choice between those two.” (KristinEonline)
Rebecca Mader (always a good time) hinted we will see her character Charlotte again before the series ends (KristinEonline)
Also, we’ll see the Man in Black’s (Terry O’Quinn) true colors. And surprise, they aren’t all rainbow-y. This episode and the episode that follows will most definitely have everyone talking. Next Tuesday, episode 15, is the one with no series regulars that also guest stars Allison Janney, and it has a very cool Aha! moment that will make you realize show runners Damon and Carlton did know where they were going from the very beginning. Screw Leo and Kate. That has to go down as the most heart-wrenching ship-flooding scene of all time. Jin and Sun died tonight (May 4) in what just might be the most tragic death scene of Lost’s entire six seasons. As I hinted two weeks ago, Jin’s vow to Sun that he would never leave her again certainly was the truth–the soul-guttingly tragic truth. (KristinEonline)
You will see three of the main leads in a very surprising throwback moment that lets you know that the producers totally knew what they were doing as of season one. Allison Janney guest stars, along with two other actors you know, and a few others you don’t. You’ll learn much more about the history of the Island and the evil, and light, within. Pay close attention to every line Allison’s character says and every line on her face. (KristinEonline)
A stripped-down guide to what Lost is all about:
There is an island. It really exists, and the people on it do too.
At the heart of this island is a “Light.”
This Light is the good place you go to after you die where you get to reconnect with your loved ones in the afterlife. You can call it heaven, Nirvana, or whatever you like. It’s the most beautiful place you will ever see.
If the Light on the island goes out, you don’t get to be with your loved ones when you die. They simply “cease to exist.” And that is a very bad thing.
In the finale, we learned that this place (in which the flight landed safely) was a passageway from death into the Light/heaven. The characters we saw there had all died in different times in different places, and they met up in this place (where time is irrelevant) to work out their remaining regrets, reconnect with their loved ones, and move on to the Light together. After Jack sacrificed himself to save the island, they all crossed over to the Light and lived blissfully ever after.
They lived together. And they did not die alone. (KristinEonline)
