Season Spoilers

Is this season of Heroes will be the last? – Not just any but Tim Kring’s. He says that although the upcoming Redemption volume could serve as the show’s swan song, he doesn’t intend for it to. In fact, he adds that “we’ve never really posited an ending… [because] it’s never been one long serialized story. Each volume has a beginning, middle and end. So we try to wrap things up pretty neatly each time and string a cliffhanger over the break to reward the loyal viewers.” (Ausiello)

In this Monday’s episode, October 12, Peter starts to hear (and see) sweet music when he falls for Deanne Bray’s super-synesthetic deaf girl. They even play a cute duet on piano. Sadly, Peter’s romantic pursuits are cut short when an old friend in desperate need of his nursing skills visits him. (Ausiello)

Claire unleashes new lesbianac superpower! In a shameless bid to lure eyeballs to next Monday’s Heroes, NBC has just released a promo pic of Hayden Panettiere “experimenting” with co-star Madeline Zima. (Ausiello)

Yep, Hayden Panettiere locks lips with a girl this coming Monday on Heroes. Claire Bennet and her roommate Gretchen (Californication’s Madeline Zima) share a semiromantic first kiss, but what you don’t know about their sapphic drama is that there’s a third party involved. (KristinEonline)

Here’s the deal – Gretchen loves Claire. Claire likes Gretchen, but doesn’t like-like her. Such awkward scenarios have been worked out before, with a little honesty and upfront communication, but unfortunately that’s not possible in this case. (KristinEonline)

See, Claire starts feeling a little threatened by Gretchen after a series of odd happenstances make it appear like Gretchen is stalking Claire. But is Gretchen really responsible? As it turns out, she might not be, because there’s a third person in the mix who also has her eye on Claire, and that person’s intentions are none-too-good. And maybe, just maybe, that third party is setting up Gretchen as the fall girl. (KristinEonline)
Who is this wicked woman? You’ll probably be able to sniff out the suspect as soon as you see her, but just in case there’s any doubt, here’s a hint: You hated her guts on another series we love, and you rejoiced mightily when she was written off at the end of the season. (KristinEonline)

Claire’s new friend Gretchen is kinda creepy! Madeline Zima is getting too close for comfort in next week’s episode, when the sorority girls come a-callin’. How Single White Female is Gretchen getting with new roomie, Claire (Hayden Panettiere)? So far we’ve encountered clothes-stealing, Facebook-stalking, kissing—and attempted murder? But Gretchen’s not what she seems, and the evil Greek system may in fact be evil. (KristinEonline)

Where has Mohinder gone from Heroes?- Sendhil Ramamurthy resurfaces in November, so you’ll get your explanation then. Not sure if this is a clue but my Heroes mole tells me that more than 50 percent of Ramamurthy’s scenes since returning have been with Masi Oka. (Ausiello)

I heard that Sylar is going to have a love interest this season on Heroes. Could it possibly be Claire? – The show has 12 episodes in the can and, so far, there’s nothing to suggest that Sylar will take a lover. “We [only] have six more episodes left [to shoot],” reports Zachary Quinto.” I suppose anything’s possible, but I don’t think the seeds for that have been planted in my storyline yet.” (Ausiello)

Who is dying? – All I can say is that the Heroes death/firing is the one guy a lot of people think it definitely couldn’t possibly be. (KristinEonline)

The rumors are true: Adrian Pasdar is leaving Heroes.  (Ausiello)

Heroes is killing off a major character later this season. Adrian Pasdar’s Nathan Petrelli is the major character death happening on Heroes this season, and no, he wasn’t told he was getting fired, he learned about it from a script. But what about reports from fellow Heroes cast members that the Petrelli brothers were definitely safe? After Heroes star Greg Grunberg recently told a radio station that Nathan and Peter weren’t the Heroes death, I doubled back with my source and he confirmed, “I know Adrian is getting killed off and was pissed about it because they didn’t tell him…Greg could be talking about another death but I think he’s probably covering and throwing fans off.”  (KristinEonline)

So you’re saying there’s a chance it might stick around?! That’s the latest word coming out of camp Heroes, now that NBC has recast Sendhil Ramamurthy (Heroes’ Mohinder) in the net’s own pilot Rex Is Not Your Lawyer, giving the role to Jerry O’Connell instead. An NBC rep said Ramamurthy pulled out of Rex because of a scheduling conflict with Heroes, which was in first position. So maybe with Eastwick’s cancellation, it’s Rebecca’s turn to stay home with the twins? (KristinEonline)

NBC announced that Sendhil Ramamurthy has been cast in a new pilot called Rex Is Not Your Lawyer. So this means his character Mohinder is going to die, right? Well…maybe. There might be a much bigger death in the works: the series. A well-placed Heroes source tells me of Sendhil’s casting: “Everyone is expecting this to be the last season. The cast, the crew, everyone.” Which would explain why Sendhil has been cast in an NBC pilot. Clearly, the Peacock peeps wouldn’t place Sendhil (who is pretty funny in real life, by the way, and who should do well on a dramedy) on a new series if they expected a conflict ahead. (KristinEonline)

Greg Grunberg says Heroes will be back next fall for a fifth season — and he’s got proof. “We wrapped yesterday and the [final episode] is nowhere near a series finale,” he said at the People’s Choice Awards. “It is cliffhanger-y and exciting, but it is nowhere near an end to a series that people are so invested in. It does not tie everything up in a neat bow… I don’t have any doubt that the show will be back.” (Ausiello)

I’m hearing something about a marriage proposal coming in the second half of the season. Also, remember House’s loony bin lay, Lydia? There’s buzz she may get a shout-out in the upcoming episode directed by Hugh Laurie. Let’s hope Cuddy isn’t within earshot! (Ausiello)

New: Just this one cryptic tease from my good buddy Greg Grunberg: “The only way to get rid of or really handle the evil guy Sylar is to get more dark and more evil than he is, and that’s pretty much where my character goes.” Parkman more evil than Sylar? Wow, I’m really behind on Heroes. (Ausiello)
