Season Spoilers
Season Premiere: Gossip Girl (CW), Monday, Sept. 13, 9 p.m.
Executive producer Josh Safran who says that a certain love triangle is becoming a love square “in a major way” and reveals whether Dan (Penn Badgley) and Serena (Blake Lively) will be giving their romance another shot. (Kristin eOnline 1/16)
Make way for Dan, Chuck and Louis, because he’s becoming a viable contender in the fight for Blair’s love. “What I said at the top of the season was this was pretty much going to be a romantic love triangle between Chuck, Louis and Blair and that Dan was going to be more a friend of Blair,” Safran explains. “This second half of the season, that triangle absolutely becomes a square in a major way. That is where that story is going.” (Kristin eOnline 1/16)
While some Chuck and Blair fans may be growing tired of the obstacles thrown in their favorite couple’s way, Safran says, “I’m hoping fans agree that the struggles Chuck and Blair keep coming up against are good struggles.” He also tells that those struggles are always going to be the relationship’s core problem “It’s like just when they think they’ve conquered one aspect that was keeping them apart, another one pops up. I believe that is always going to be Chuck and Blair’s issue with each other,” Safran says. (Kristin eOnline 1/16)
Dan and Serena will continue fake-dating in the coming episodes to protect Blair, and Safran tells us, “The fake dating starts out meaning more to Serena than it does to Dan.” But will Dan possibly fall for his ex-girlfriend/step-sister again? “You’ll have to watch and see,” he teases. “Old patterns die hard!” (Kristin eOnline 1/16)
Considering Serena finally caved and decided to start looking through the blasts being sent to her just as Nate found out Gossip Girl was the mystery person texting clues about the car crash, it’s safe to say things are about to get extremely complicated in the UES’ blogosphere. “Not only is it about to get complicated, but I don’t think Gossip Girl has ever seen anyone go head-to-head with her before,” Safran says. (Kristin eOnline 1/16)
Intel continues to trickle in and, if what I’m hearing about the episode’s final act is true, it has the potential to be the single greatest hour of my life television ever. (Source: TVLine 12/13)

Here are the top five shocking moments from Gossip Girl’s fall finale:
1. Chuck and Blair’s Road to Happily Ever After Hits a Snag: Blair tells Chuck she loves him and could never promise Louis she would never leave him because Chuck is the one she never wants to leave. As the two make plans for their new family, the paparazzi surround the car, which leads to a horrible accident.
2. Ivy’s Outs Herself as a Fraud: After spending the entire episode worrying about Max selling her story to the press, Ivy/Charlie finally cracks at her big party, sending Gossip Girl the blast about Chuck and Blair in an attempt to have the party crashed by the paparazzi and then cancelled.
3. Tripp Becomes a Villain? Tripp was pretty pissed about losing his grandfather’s support, which was now being given to intern-to-editor-in-chief-in-five-minutes extraordinaire Nate.
4. Dan Sacrifices His Happiness for Blair’s: With four simple words (“It wouldn’t [matter] to me”) in response to Blair’s worry over Chuck being able to love Louis’ child as his own, Dan broke our hearts.
5. Jack Attack Is Back! Um, we have no idea what the hell was going in that scene at the end where Jack Bass (Desmond Harrington) calls Diana Payne (Elizabeth Hurley) to let her know about the accident. (Source: eKristin Online 12/5)
Any true Gossip Girl fan savors moments when the original five—Blake Lively, Badgley, Meester, Westwick and Crawford—all get to be in scenes together. It doesn’t happen too often, so we were thrilled when Lively dropped this nugget of info: “We just shot a scene yesterday with the original five of us and it was amazing to all be together and still feel like the same weirdos!” (Source: kristin eonline 11/21)
About the fall finale on Dec. 5, don’t be surprised if the time warp happens then. “It [ends] you with a huge cliffhanger – perhaps our biggest cliffhanger ever,” exec producer Stephanie Savage told Matt Mitovich at the show’s 100th episode bash over the weekend. Added fellow EP Josh Safran: “It is both emotional and personal. It will have you wondering what happens next, for sure.” (Source: Tvline 11/22)
Previewing the 100th episode, Meester herself said, “[Blair]‘s engaged to a prince, so what could be better than that? But then you realize that the fairytale isn’t 100-percent perfect.” So which gent does she think could offer a better chance at giving the would-be princess a happy ending? “Her and Chuck have had ups and down, and as much as everyone loves them together I think that them having time apart has actually helped Blair grow — and weirdly helped me grow, too,” the actress offered. She then continued, “The one relationship I’d love to see play out is Blair and Dan — just selfishly, honestly, because I love working with Penn. So we’ll see!” (Source: Tvline 11/19)
Executive producer Stephanie Savage told us: “We have some amazing Chuck-and-Blair scenes coming up in the next couple of episodes.. The Chuck-and-Blair relationship is really fun and something that wasn’t in the books, but came out of Leighton and Ed [Westwick]‘s chemistry.” (Source: tvguide 11/20)
On finding out the father of Blair’s baby: Exec producer Josh Safran TVLine that it is coming in the next couple of episodes, adding, “We definitely understand and expect people to still be wondering.” (Source: InsideTV 11/9)
There’s a possibility that Dan and Serena will be getting back together. Gossip boss told TVLine that Serena will soon “find herself looking back at what successful relationships she can count in her past.” (Source: InsideTV 11/9)
Safran says the 100th episode is as much about Blair as it is Serena. “The central relationship has always been the two of them,” says Safran. “Blair’s getting married and her best friend is her maid of honor — that’s a core dynamic we’re playing with.” (Source: InsideTV 11/1)
Prince Louis’ meddling mother and sister will insist that Blair move to Monaco to give birth to the future heir inside her. They even draw up a contract containing all sorts of ridiculous custody clauses. What a bunch of royal pains. (Source: Tvline 10/4)
Someone discover Charlie’s interloper’s big secret, and, without missing a beat, blackmails her! (Source: Tvline 10/4)
Nate is in fact the character Dan turned gay in his book. While it causes some tension between the BFFs, Dan’s book may cause some even bigger tension with another character: Rufus (Matthew Settle), his father. The novel will bring Dan closer to another family member though: Serena, although she may have some ulterior motives…like trying to score the rights to his book for her production company. (Source: Kristin eOnline 10/10)
You know how Diana now has Ivy’s phone, which contains her dirty little secret? Yeah, she’s going to be using that to her, and The Spectator’s, advantage pretty soon. (Source: Kristin eOnline 10/10)
Blair’s influence will start rubbing off on her future husband. Word around the UES is that Prince Louis will go to extremely sneaky lengths to ensure that Chuck stays out of his bride’s life. (Source: tvline 10/11)
