Gossip Girl Spoilers

Show Summary

Based on the popular book series of the same name, this drama gives viewers a peek into the world of privileged teenagers on an elite private school in New York City. The story is written by The O.C.’s Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and directed by Mark Piznarski who has worked on series like Everwood and Veronica Mars.

Surface’s Leighton Meester and Accepted’s Blake Lively have taken the lead roles in this drama series. They will play Blair and Serena respectively, rich Manhattan rivals at a private school in New York. The last additions to this new CW drama are Misconceptions Taylor Momsen, The Covenant’s Chace Crawford and The Bedford Diaries’s Penn Badgley. Their characters are Momsen as Jenny a 14 year-old and shy girl, Nate the good looking boyfriend of Blair, and Dan the secret admirer of Serena. 

E-Ring’s Kelly Rutherford and The Jury’s has been cast as the mother of lead role Serena. Rutherford will play the mother of Serena van der Woodsen (Lively’s character), a former ballerina and rock groupie. Afterlife’s Ed Westwick has been cast as Chuck Bass and Brothers and Sisters’ Matthew Settle has been cast as Jenny and Dan’s father, Rufus Humphrey.

2.14 - In The Realm of the Basses 1/5
New: Because Chuck is MIA since his father’s funeral, his Uncle Jack arrives on the Upper East Side to find and help him. Trying to forget her last conversation with Chuck, Blair focuses on being accepted into the most prestigious ladies club in the city, Colony Club. Jenny returns to Constance Billard and immediately takes on Penelope and her posse of mean girls, but no one is going down without a valiant Gossip Girl-worthy fight. (Tv.com) 

2.15 - Gone with the Will 1/12
New: In the reading of Bart’s will, Chuck, Bart’s brother, Jack and Lily learn that Chuck is now the CEO of Bass Industries. Chuck agrees that Jack became his guardian.
Rufus and Lily’s relationship is strained as Rufus searches for details about the child he never knew he had. Noticing the strange way his father has been acting lately, Dan does some investigating and uncovers Rufus and Lily’s secret, and he has to decide now what to do and who to tell the shocking revelation. 2.16 - You’ve Got Yale 1/19
New: Who will get in the Ivy League institution of their choice? The students find out who is worthy of an early admission to Yale. Serena connects with a new Shakespeare teacher, who has no clue about what is going to happen when she gives Blair the first B grade in her life. Chuck pairs up with an unlikely ally in his battle over Bass Industries. Nate and Vanessa have a romantic night at the opera. (Tv.com)
